How it works

One room, two lives

Open Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00.

The room where people celebrate in the evening is, in the morning, one of the nicest places to work in the centre. High windows, brick, and a hundred and twenty square metres for ten people, which is about twice the space per person of a typical coworking floor. You work at one long table rather than in a cubicle, and that is the difference you notice on the first day.

No reception and nobody on site. The code arrives by text, you come in when you like. Nobody walks around, takes calls or makes conversation, so it is simply quiet.

That is also why it is instant, and why it is cheap.

15 December to 1 January: 8:00–16:00. Office party season, when evening events start earlier. After that we are back to 9:00–17:00.

  1. After booking

The door code arrives by text straight away, not the night before.

  2. 9:00

You let yourself in. Nobody is here and there is nobody to wait for.

  3. 9:00–17:00

You work. Coffee, kitchen and power are included.

  4. 17:00

The room has to be empty. You take your things with you.

  5. 17:00–18:00

Cleaning and setting up for the evening event.

  6. Weekend

Closed. The room belongs to events then.

Floor plan

Where you would actually sit

The zones are marked on the plan itself. The long table is the work space; the kitchen, the armchairs and the calls room are shared.

Terms

What you get, and what is not here

An ordinary coworking desk in the centre costs 600–800 zł a month, because it comes with a reception, your own desk and round-the-clock access. Here it is 199 zł, because at 17:00 the room goes back to events. Below, plainly, is what you give up for that.

Included

No extras and no deposit.

  • ✓ Quiet. No reception, no staff, nobody walking around the room
  • ✓ A locked door. Entry only on a code issued to your number. Nobody walks in off the street
  • ✓ The room cleaned after every event, before you arrive
  • ✓ A seat at the shared table for 19
  • ✓ Wi-Fi, power and heating
  • ✓ Kitchen: fridge, microwave, dishwasher
  • ✓ Coffee
  • ✓ An armchair corner for a conversation or a call
  • ✓ An address in the centre, 300 m from Rondo Kaponiera
  • ✓ Door code by text, no keys to collect
  • ✓ Power sockets at the table

What is not here

Three things to know before you buy.

  • ✕ Access after 17:00 or at weekends. This is coworking for working hours. After that the room goes back to events and has to be empty.
  • ✕ Fixed desks. You sit wherever is free and your things go home with you. No leaving a monitor or papers here.
  • ✕ Anybody on site. No reception and no staff. If you would rather be greeted and shown around, this is not the place.

There is also no printer (there is one at the Żabka next door), no lockers, no private offices, no parking and no registering a company at this address.

Not sure whether this suits you?

Call and ask. The person who answers also handles the venue bookings.

Common questions

Is anybody actually there? ▸

No. The room runs unstaffed: you come in with a code, work, and leave. There is no reception, nobody hands out keys and nobody looks over your shoulder. That is not only convenience but quiet, because nobody walks around or takes calls beside your desk. It is also why the code reaches you in a minute rather than the next day.

Can you tell in the morning that there was an event last night? ▸

No. The room is cleaned after every event, because somebody rents it again the next day and we sell it to both sides in the same condition. You arrive to an empty table and a clean kitchen. If you ever find otherwise, call us: that is a fault, not the standard.

Can I leave a monitor or papers overnight? ▸

No. At 17:00 the room is prepared for the evening event, so everything goes with you. It is the one real compromise here, and it is why this is so cheap.

How long do the visits in a pack last? ▸

Thirty days from the day you buy. It makes no difference which day of the month that is.

Is the trial day really free? ▸

Yes, one per phone number. You pick a day, confirm the number with a code from a text, and the door code follows immediately. No card details.

Where can I print something? ▸

There is no printer here. We print and scan at the Żabka next door, which is a few dozen metres away.

Will I get an invoice? ▸

Yes. Prices are quoted net because most people here put this through a company.

Are my things safe here? ▸

The door opens only on a code issued to your phone number, so nobody walks in off the street. There is no security, no cameras and no lockers though — at 17:00 you take everything with you, because the room belongs to events in the evening.

Can I register a company here, or have parcels delivered? ▸

No company registration. You may have a parcel sent here, but you collect it yourself while you are in — there is nobody to take it for you.

Is there parking? ▸

No. Fredry 7 is dead centre: 300 m from Rondo Kaponiera and 1.3 km from the station, so most people come by tram.
